More new starter character cards

The starting character is going to have a total of 27 cards. I already posted the character and background that comes in the starter set. The belt from yesterday will be in the starter too. Many of these cards are familiar, but may have changed. You will need to look close.

First Aid

Here is one that should bring visions of healers walking a battlefield looking for those who need help.

Trail Blazing

A long time favorite. Everyone on worn torn Grandilar needs a way to find places, paths and trails. Commerce demands it.

Luck of Youth

Improved. Notice that this is an Enhance. That means it must be added to something else and that using it does not cost a "thing" to use it. A popular card. One of the Dragon Storm Con 2011 cards will be similar, but useable at any CP.

Valarian Champion

The central Boon for the game. This is the jump off card to adventure, combat and the entry into the fight for freedom.

Power Swing

What can be said.

Power Shot

A little love for the archers too.

Boosted Moves

This is one of those cards that are essential to make the game work, so there will be Second Ed and Classic versions.

Split Action

This one is a needed Second Ed card, but it will cause some Classic confusion. It is the Second edition version of both Dual Action and Dual Strike. There will be other ways of getting that third attack in Second Ed.

New Ring Set. It has gone off to the printer. If you did not get over and get the PDF downloaded, or place your pre-order, follow this link.

  1. I so remember having a stack of Good Moves (Boosted Moves) on my main character. I think I coined the phrase 'And this round brought to you by Good Moves' because if I didn't have a couple of them he wouldn't have gotten to do anything that round (a -4 to init really sucks). I'm glad it's getting carried over into version 2.

  2. Making 2nd edition stand on it's own means repeating some of the mainstays. Right now it looks funny sometimes, but we will run out of DS to sell, then we need a working second edition.
