Magic Items, more DS RPG progress

Sue and I got yet more work done over the weekend. She sent me the ninth ring picture and I got the set rolling. I wrote the Guideline for the ring set and Sue will be rewriting it wednesday. Shortly after that I will be getting the set off to the printer.

My plan is to post three of them a day for the next few days. Yes, I am jumping all over the place with the cards.

Ring of Night Eyes

The first thing that is different is that the rings now stand alone, the rules are on the card. In the past the rings only made sense if you had the appropriate spell card as well.

Ring of Mystic Shield

The spells on the cards no longer exactly match the actual spell. They are just a little weaker than the real thing. The question of whose WIS to add to the roll is gone. Now it is set on the card.

Ring of Quick Heal

We have reduced the CAP on the rings. Now that we are switching to the decimal system we have more flexibility on items.

I also got the weekly Familiar Place Web Comic uploaded. http://familiarplace.myonlinecomics.com/ Go check it out!

Now, get out there and get some gaming done!

  1. I never realized there was a question about what WIS to use. Did someone really raise an arguement to use the WIS of the ring's crafter? What other WIS could be in question? Even I'm not that much of a rules lawyer, and I play D&D regularly with a crew of them. I'm really curious about that comment.

  2. Yes, there were many questions about whose WIS to use. Crafters with high WIS wanted to pass it on to other players..

  4. While most DS people are reasonable, a few are not.
